Hey, it's Jared here.

Let me ask you a question:

Do you feel rushed in the morning but still want to start your day with more calm, focus, and energy?

If so, you’re not alone. Many of us want to create a morning routine that helps us feel grounded and energized, but life often gets in the way.

How we start our morning plays a big role in how we feel and operate throughout the day. A morning routine that allows us to clear stress, calm the mind, activate energy, and set a clear intention for how we want to feel and show up can make a huge difference in our productivity and enjoyment of the day.

Now, you might be thinking:

  • “But, Jared, the idea of a morning routine sounds great, but there’s simply too much stress in the morning with the kids, or just getting out the door. I’m way too busy!”
  • Or, “I know a morning routine is important, but I just can’t stick to it consistently.”

I hear you!

The good news is that just 5-10 minutes of Qigong can make a big difference, even for those of us who feel busy and overwhelmed.

Here are some tips and tricks to make Qigong a regular part of your morning routine and ensure you reap the benefits each day:

  1. Keep it simple. Choose just one simple practice that you can do each morning to activate energy, clear stress, and center yourself. Even 5-10 minutes is enough to make it a habit that feels effortless. It should feel good, fun, and enjoyable! If you like variety, try mixing it up from time to time—do what works best for you.
  2. Create a dedicated space. Set up a spot in your home for your morning practice. Having a designated area helps reinforce the habit and makes it easier to stay consistent.
  3. Communicate with those around you. Let your family, roommates, or others in your life know that this is your time for Qigong. At first, they might find it unusual, but over time, they’ll adapt—and who knows? They might even want to join you!
  4. Cut out distractions. If time feels tight in the morning, try getting up 5-10 minutes earlier or replacing distractions like scrolling social media with your practice. Swapping just a few minutes of screen time for “you time” can make a world of difference.

To help you get started, I’ve created a short, free morning Qigong routine. This simple practice is designed to:

  • Reduce stress and improve your focus.
  • Boost your energy levels to tackle the day ahead.
  • Help you start the morning feeling calm, centered, and intentional.
